Vancouver-based Independence Gold Corp. has identified seven distinct gold-silver targets at its Merit property in the Spences Bridge gold belt. The company says the targets appear to be connected by structures identified by the recent property-wide ground magnetic survey.

The best results from the survey were found in chalcedonic quartz veins with dark sulphide bands, indicating a low sulphidation epithermal style deposit. The survey, completed by DRM Exploration Services, suggests there exists a common fluid delivery system and the potential for increasing the target sizes with more work.

The discoveries were sampled, and these are the highlights:

Independence intends to secure permits and community approvals to drill several of the targets next year.
